You have the knowledge, but you’re still struggling to communicate in English. If you are feeling stuck, I can help. Together, we will work towards improving your fluency with speaking practice designed to get you talking about real-life situations.
We will travel (virtually) to little-known countries, learn about ancient civilizations and aristocracy, study foods of the world and much more!
Most people won’t tell you when you make a mistake in English. As your English coach, I will. Often, I type errors you make while speaking onto an interactive “whiteboard” that we can both access. Then we work together to fix the mistakes, and improve your grammar and syntax.
I want you to become fluent in the whole language. Learning grammar is great, but it’s of little use if you are not able to speak fluently. At the same time, I have worked with many clients who speak English at an advanced level, but lack the grammatical foundation needed to speak without errors.
My approach balances all the skills, so you go from being good in some areas to a fluent communicator in English!
Improve your skills
Your private lessons are tailored to your specific needs, so time will be spent focusing on the areas in which you want to improve. Here are some areas we can work on:
Conversation: develop your conversational skills in English with a focus on "real world" speech and forming grammatically correct sentences.
Listening Skills: test your listening ability with short activities designed to determine your strengths and weaknesses.
Grammar: from the Present Simple to the Passive, develop a strong foundation in English grammar.
Reading: Reading isn't just enjoyable, it's a great way to develop multiple skills in English, such as vocabulary, pronunciation and reading fluency!
Pronunciation: are you stuck on sounds that are similar, but different? Pronunciation exercises are designed to help you master those sounds so you will be more fluent, and others will understand you better!

Who I Work With
Building Foundations
As a beginner in English, you need a space where you can learn the core skills of the language while practicing and progressing at a pace that is comfortable for you.
Beginning English speakers need a lot of repetition, and we will master each topic before moving on to the next one.
Together, we will build a strong understanding of vocabulary, grammar, and basic conversational skills so you can quickly see your English start to improve!
Beginner / Low Intermediate
Improving Communication
Intermediate learners have a basic understanding of grammar and vocabulary. At this stage, you are able to communicate about various topics in English, although you still make mistakes.
We will focus on error correction—identifying the mistakes you make, and correcting them together.
This is the time to increase your vocabulary and improve your listening and speaking skills, while continuing to build on the grammar you have learned.
Intermediate / Upper Intermediate
Advanced speakers of English have really put in the work! You now speak with a high level of fluency, and have gained a solid understanding of grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.
We will work together to fine-tune your listening and speaking skills, focusing more heavily on the areas that still need improvement.
At this level, we will discuss current events, dive into advanced vocabulary and nuance, and polish your pronunciation as you work towards becoming a fluent English speaker!
